1. The Whiter, the Better

In the U.S. and some other nations, many people are obsessed with white teeth. They see shiny, white teeth as being a sign of good health. However, white teeth don’t equal healthy teeth. And teeth in other shades aren’t necessarily unhealthy either. Teeth come in a range of natural colors, which might be slightly cream, yellow, or brown. 3. Direct Contact with Aspirin Helps a Toothache

When you have an excruciating toothache, you’ll try anything to get it to go away. One of the recommendations many people make is to put an aspirin tablet on your tooth or gum. The suggestion is that this will help to numb the pain. However, doing this could have the opposite effect. You can burn your gum by giving it direct contact with a pill or even an oral gel.

4. There’s No Need to Floss

A lot of us forget about flossing after we brush our teeth. Those that don’t forget to know that we should do it, but can’t be bothered. However, it’s an essential part of your oral hygiene routine. You could be missing cleaning up to a third of the surface area of your teeth if you don’t floss. It helps to clean between your teeth, which isn’t easy to do with just a toothbrush.

5. Bleaching Is Dangerous

For those who do want pearly white teeth, there’s no need to worry about the safety of bleaching. Or, at least, you usually don’t have to worry. Bleaching your teeth is safe, so long as you do it correctly. Using concentrations that are too high is not a good idea, but your dentist should know what they’re doing.
